Former DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK today demanded the resignation of SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal after his name figured in the SIT report on sacrilege and police firing incidents of 2015.

GK said, “I had resigned from the post of DSGMC president after the police registered a complaint levelling allegations of financial irregularities against me. I dare Sukhbir to step down as party president since the SIT has indicted him,” GK asked.

Addressing a press conference, GK said in the Lok Sabha elections, all candidates of the SAD were defeated, except the Badal couple. “Instead of feeling ashamed, Sukhbir is beating his chest over it,” GK said.

Attacking senior leader of SAD Delhi Avtar Singh Hit, GK said, “In my leadership, the party won the DSGMC election first time in 2013 after 14 years. It was Hit who damaged the party. When Hit was the chief of the Delhi unit, only a few chairs and a double bed were lying in the office. “It was me who had strengthened the party in Delhi,” GK said.

The former DSGMC president alleged that Hit was also involved in financial embezzlement at Guru Harkrishan School in Hari Nagar.

He also alleged that Narender Singh, PA to DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa, had taken Rs 38 lakh from Guru ki golak.

Complaint against GK

  • The DSGMC has filed a complaint with the Delhi Police against Manjit Singh GK on alleged charges of embezzlement of gurdwara funds and misuse of his power.
  • Others named in the complaint are GK’s PA Param Jivan Jot Singh and suspended general manager Harjeet Singh, alias Subedar.
