Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan calls for PM’s intervention evacuation of Indians stranded in Dubai

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Sunday called for immediate intervention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure safe evacuation of Indians stranded in Dubai and other Arab countries in view of the ongoing tensions in West Asia.

Expressing serious concern over reports of several Indians facing distress due to the prevailing situation, the Speaker emphasised that the Centre must accord top priority to their safe and dignified return.

The Speaker stressed that in times of international crisis, prompt action was essential to ensure that no Indian was left without support. “The safety, security and dignity of every Indian abroad must remain the foremost responsibility of the Central Government,” he added.
