Shop owner wins Rs 1.5-crore Punjab state lottery

Chandigarh, September 1

Dharam Pal, a sweet shop owner from Mandi Kalanwali (Sirsa), won the first prize of Rs 1.5 crore in the Punjab State Rakhi Bumper-2020.

He said he had been buying state lottery tickets for the last 13 years but he had won the prize for the first time.

The bumper draw was held on August 20. He was informed by the Lotteries Department on August 21 that he had won the first prize of Rs 1.50 crore.

He said this amount would be a great help to provide the best higher education to his children.
