Chandigarh, April 25

Former cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday joined the chorus of Congress leaders, including ministers, who are demanding a fair investigation by a new SIT to bring out the evidence against Badals in the sacrilege cases.

Calling upon to fight for justice to the victims of police firing at Kotkapura, Sidhu in a tweet on Sunday said, “ The Judgement does not mean that there is no evidence against Badals, it just means investigation has not provided any, Why? ... It is a temporary reprieve for Badals until a fair investigation brings them to docks. Not exonerated, only on borrowed time. Let’s fight for Justice!!”

Congress MP Partap Singh Bajwa has sought early completion of investigation by the new SIT to be constituted by the state government

He said the investigation should be concluded at the earliest, preferably within a month and subsequently, after filing of challan, an application should be filed before the Trial Court requesting for an expeditious trial preferably on a day-to-day basis.
