Sidhu Moosewala killing: 3 accused remanded in 14-day judicial custody

A Mansa court today sent the three accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case on 14-day judicial remand and another on a three-day police remand. While gangster Monu Dagar — a close associate of prime suspect Goldy Brar — Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb Khan were remanded in 14-day judicial custody, one Manmohan Singh Mohna, who is accused of conducting recce of the slain singer during the Assembly elections, was remanded in 3-day police custody.

They assisted shooters

The accused — Monu Dagar, Pawan Bishnoi, Naseeb Khan and Manmohan Singh Mohna — allegedly conducted recce, harboured shooters, hatched conspiracy and provided logistic support to the slain singer’s shooters.

Earlier, the accused were taken to the Civil Hospital, Mansa, for a medical examination before their appearance before the court.

Dagar, a resident of Sonepat, Bishnoi and Khan, both residents of Fatehabad, Haryana, were arrested for allegedly conducting recce, harbouring shooters, hatching conspiracy and providing logistic support to the shooters. During interrogation, Dagar is learnt to have confessed to having arranged two shooters — Priyawarat and Ankit — both residents of Sonepat, on the directions of Brar.

He is learnt to have also disclosed that Bishnoi and Khan had procured the Mahindra Bolero used in the crime from Sadul Shaher. They handedit over to the shooters through a middleman identified as Keshav of Bathinda.

After bringing Mohna from the jail on a production warrant, the Mansa police arrested him in the Moosewala murder case and also took his five-day police remand last week. Since, his police remand was getting over on June 22, he was produced in the court to get the extension.

Mohna had allegedly done recce of the singer before the recent Assembly elections. As per the police, Mohna was the only suspect arrested so far who hailed from Mansa district, the place where the incident took place. Mohna is a resident of Ralla village. The police said there were several cases against him and they were trying to establish if he had any links with Lawrence Bishnoi and Brar.
