AAP had on Thursday removed Chadha as deputy leader in Rajya Sabha, and he was replaced with Ashok Mittal.

In a video message shared on social media platform X, Chadha questioned the party’s decision and suggested that his removal may be linked to the issues he raised in Parliament. “Whenever I get a chance to speak in Parliament, I raise public issues. Maybe I raise topics not usually raised… but is raising public issues a crime? Have I committed a mistake?” he asked.

Chadha further claimed that the party had formally communicated to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to prevent him from speaking in the House. “I am asking this question because AAP told the Secretariat to stop Raghav Chadha from speaking in Parliament,” he said, expressing concern over what he described as an attempt to curb his voice.

Chadha, known for his articulate speeches and active participation in parliamentary debates, framed his response as a message to the “aam aadmi,” emphasising that he remains committed to raising public concerns despite the setback.

The development has sparked political discussion, with observers questioning the reasons behind the party’s move. While AAP has not publicly detailed the rationale for removing Chadha from the key parliamentary post, his remarks indicate possible internal differences.

Chadha concluded his message on a defiant note, asserting that although he may have been restricted institutionally, his resolve to speak on public issues remains unchanged.
