The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Monday condemned the US-Israel war on Iran, saying this is a war against the international law. The farmers’ union also urged people to unite to stop such reckless attacks on the sovereignty of world nations and humanity.

“The USA under the Donald Trump regime has become a rogue and deadly state threatening world peace. The brutal genocide in Palestine by Israel actively supported by the US killed tens of thousands of innocent civilians. The attack on Venezuela and capturing its elected President Nicolas Maduro and first lady Cilia Flores was to usurp the vast oil resources for profit maximisation of US MNCs,” it said in a statement.

“The attack on Iran also has the aim of appropriating its vast resources, including oil. Iran has every right to defend itself. The whole imperialist US-Israel design is to control oil supplies and dictate to the world and to terrorise countries for imposing trade policies for profit maximisation,” it added.

Vijoo Krishnan, general secretary, All-India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), urged the ruling dispensation to uphold the anti-imperialist tradition of the country, and not make India party to the nexus led by the 'Imperialist US' and 'Zionist Israel' that poses great threat to world peace.

The US-Israeli air war against Iran expanded on Monday with no end in sight, engulfing Lebanon with Israel responding to strikes by Hezbollah, while Tehran fired missiles and drones at Israel, Gulf states and a British air base in far-away Cyprus.
