Snubbed by Speaker, MP tears papers

NEW DELHI: Suspended Aam Aadmi Party MP Dharamvira Gandhi tore the papers listing Lok Sabha questions in the House on Thursday after Speaker Sumitra Mahajan ignored his repeated calls to be allowed to ask something during the Question Hour.



NEW DELHI: Suspended Aam Aadmi Party MP Dharamvira Gandhi tore the papers listing Lok Sabha questions in the House on Thursday after Speaker Sumitra Mahajan ignored his repeated calls to be allowed to ask something during the Question Hour. Gandhi was heard requesting the Speaker for time to ask something about toll taxes when Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was answering questions related to his ministry. When he was disallowed, he tore the question paper and was seen fretting his way out of the House. Later, Gandhi issued a letter to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj requesting her to speak to her Pakistan counterpart to allow bona fide migrants of the Partition from both sides of the border along with one attendant to visit their birthplace.
