State gets 3 more DGPs

CHANDIGARH: The state on Wednesday promoted three IPS officers to the rank of DGP. They are Prabodh Kumar, Rohit Choudhary and Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota. Home Secretary Satish Chandra issued the promotion orders today.

Chandigarh, July 17

The state on Wednesday promoted three IPS officers to the rank of DGP. They are Prabodh Kumar, Rohit Choudhary and Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota. Home Secretary Satish Chandra issued the promotion orders today.

Kumar is currently Director, Bureau of Police Investigation, Choudhary heads the Jails Department, while Sahota heads the Government Railways Police, Punjab. The officers will continue working on the same posts.

With these new promotions, Punjab now has 10 DGP-rank officers, indicating the heavy top structure of the force.
