Stray bull kills rag-picker in Abohar



Abohar, April 13

A 20-year-old member of a rag-pickers’ family was hit by a stray bull today in Arya Nagar here.

The victim, identified as Mithun, was collecting rags in the colony located near the railway station, when a stray bull rushed towards him. The victim was declared brought dead by the staff at the emergency ward of the sub-divisional Civil Hospital.

Vinod Khanagwal, a social activist, who reached the hospital, said stray bull menace had not been resolved even when political and social activists, including Aam Aadmi Party Sunam legislator Aman Arora, had led protests here several times in the past few years. — OC
