The civic body in Sriganganagar on Sunday demolished a 30-year-old “illegal” construction — a boundary wall on a 30-ft-wide land earmarked for a road. MC officials alleged that Hanuman Meel, son of a former Congress MLA, who was also in the race for Congress ticket, abused the staff and resisted demolition, which the latter refuted. OC
