A large number of students under the banner of the Punjab Students Union (PSU) staged a dharna demanding proper supply of drinking water and clean washrooms at Government College here today. The protesting students alleged that the college management failed to provide them drinking water and clean washrooms.

Union leaders Arpan Singh and Rohit Kumar said the drinking water was supplied from a storage tank in the college and at the tap a water purifier was attached. College Principal Sant Surinderpal Singh held a meeting with a delegation of students. He directed the staff members concerned to address the grievances of the students on the spot. He assured the students that their demands would be met within a week. — TNS
