The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come under scrutiny following two back to back explosions reported in Jalandhar and Amritsar. Condemning the incident, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal blamed the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

In a post on X, Badal said, “Three blasts in 10 days, two in a single day — May 5: Jalandhar outside BSF headquarters and Sri Amritsar Sahib Army area, April 27: Rajpura rail track.”

“Continued intelligence failures and collapse of law and order are a matter of grave concern.”

“Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who is also the state Home Minister, is busy in mimicry and cheap politics. He has forfeited the right to remain in office,” said Badal.

“Punjab earned peace after decades of struggle. Over two dozen blasts under this Aam Aadmi Party regime are pushing the State back into dark days,” Badal concluded.
