The Jalalabad police have arrested three persons and seized two-country made pistols and eight cartridges from them.

The police said a suspicious car was found parked opposite the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer in Jalalabad. When searched, two pistols and eight cartridges were seized from the possession of three car occupants.

The suspects have been identified as Prince of Burewala, Anil Kumar Nilu of Hisal Wala and Kunal Sharma of Kotu Wala village.

A case under the Arms Act had been registered against the trio. The police said further probe was underway.
