Two killed as bike, tractor collide head on in Abohar

The victims, Vakil Ram Bhat and Resham Singh, residents of Khippianwali village, were died on the spot

Two bike-borne youths died in after a head-on collision with a tractor trailer near the Kotha village intersection on the Abohar-Hindumalkot.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Kishan Ram said the incident took place near the village intersection amid low visibility due to fog. The victims, Vakil Ram Bhat and Resham Singh, residents of Khippianwali village, were died on the spot.

The investigating officer said the two were headed towards Abohar after paying a visit to Bhat’s sister in a nearby village. Both friends worked as labourers.

Bhat’s father, Khajan Ram Bhat, accused the tractor driver of negligence. The police have handed over the bodies of both victims to their family members after post-mortem.
