Union Budget lauded by leaders
Commenting on the Union Financial Budget 2025-26 by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP National Executive Member and Former Minister of Punjab, Manoranjan Kalia, termed it a “Growth-Oriented Union Budget”—a gateway towards a developed and prosperous new India.
Kalia highlighted the significant relief given to the middle class in income tax, with the limit raised from Rs 7 lakh to Rs12 lakh, which he believes will boost India’s economy by increasing middle-class spending power.
Kalia further stated that the budget would pave the way for India to become self-sufficient in industrial and agricultural growth in the coming years. District President Sushil Sharma and General Secretary Ashok Sareen Hicky also praised the union budget, calling it beneficial for the middle class.
