Taking notice of surge in Covid-19 cases in Punjab, the state government has decided to postpone the exam of ward attendant which was to be held on November 28.

Giving details in a press release, Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said about 1.50 lakh candidates were expected to appear in the exam for the posts of ward attendant in the Health Department. The decision was taken in a video conference where Vice-Chancellor, Baba Farid University of Health Science, Dr Raj Bahadur was also present. Sidhu said the next date of the exam to be announced soon.

He said it was also decided in the meeting that BSc (Nursing and Pharmacy) course would be initiated in the next session at Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali.
