Members of the Ravi-Beas Water Tribunal will be on a three-day tour of the state from Thursday, during which they will also meet Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Chandigarh.

The tribunal has been adjudicating riverwater disputes among Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan for over three decades now.

Their visit to Punjab is to review the infrastructure for the sharing of the water of both rivers, which Punjab has been objecting to on the grounds that it does not have extra water to spare for other states.

CM Mann is expected to reiterate this when he meets the tribunal members on Thursday.

Led by Justice Vineet Saran, Chairman of the tribunal, the team will visit Ropar headworks, Nangal Dam and Bhakra Dam, Pong Dam and Ranjit Sagar Dam.
