More than 4,000 people had been inoculated in these camps, said Harminder Sood and Suresh Bhardwaj, presidents of the

Sood and Brahmin Sabha.

A new life for Covid warrior

Abohar: Days after joining in April last year as Assistant Director, Public Relations, at Sriganganagar, near Abohar, Ritu Sodhi had a mild fever and was advised quarantine for two weeks to beat happy hypoxia. She tested negative later. That time she did not suspect that while leading a frontline Covid awareness campaign, she would have to battle the pandemic after a year. Last month she had fever and body aches after which she got her test done and the report came positive. Later, she was shifted to Jansewa Hospital. After a CT scan, she was admitted to the ICU. “I felt like getting a new life after I stepped out of the ICU after 14 days. Doctors appreciated my positive thinking which I think helped me in fighting the virus,” Ritu says.
