A young man visiting his cousin sister’s house in Kokri Kalan village, Moga, was allegedly murdered by loan recovery agents. The victim, Mintu, was brutally assaulted and killed after a confrontation with the group, who were reportedly pressuring his sister, Kulwinder Kaur, to repay a loan.
Kulwinder had borrowed Rs 1.70 lakh, repaying Rs 1 lakh, but the accused allegedly continued to threaten her for the remaining Rs 70,000. When Mintu intervened, he was attacked with a sword and killed on the spot.

The family is demanding strict action against the accused, who allegedly tried to forcibly evict Kulwinder from her home. The incident has left the family in deep grief, with relatives shocked that a visit turned fatal for Mintu.
