Shocking wedding video: Thief pretending to be guest makes way with bride’s bag containing Rs 4 lakh

A video clip from a wedding in Jaipur surfaced online, in which a thief, pretending to be a guest, stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 4 lakh.

The incident reportedly took place at Chandan One Marriage Garden on February 7.

While the bride and the groom were meeting their guests on the stage, a man dressed up in a suit walked from behind, lifted a handbag kept on the side and hid it under his blazer. The guy then walked out of the stage.

As per the police reports, after the bride and the groom were done with their photo sessions, the bride realised that the bag was missing.

Thereafter, other family members searched for the bag on the venue thoroughly but failed to trace it.

The groom’s brother, Nitin Karol, filed a complaint with the police.

As per officials, search operations are under way to nab the accused.

As soon as the video went viral on social media, many users related to it.

A user wrote, “Smooth operator, seems like he’s done it several times before.” Another comment read, “Same happened in my cousin’s marriage, person stole around 7-8L worth of ornaments.”
