Rickshaw-puller found murdered in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, February 18

A 48-year-old rickshaw-puller was found murdered at Mohalla Gurmel Park on Tibba Road this morning. The deceased has been identified as Mohd Islam, alias Chunchun, a resident of Tibba Road area.

Police officers, including Additional DCP Ajinder Singh and ACP Davinder Chaudhary, reached the spot and started investigation.

According to the police, the rickshaw-puller was murdered by unknown person by hitting him with a stone in the head last night. The rickshaw of the deceased was also found on the road.

The police said the deceased was identified from his Aadhaar card found in his pocket. He is survived by his two sons and wife.

The victim was a drunkard and was in an inebriated state when he was killed.

The police have registered a case of murder against unknown persons and launched investigation to identify them. They are scanning the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the area to get some clue about the killers.
