Role play activity conducted



Ludhiana: Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, organised a role play activity on the theme ‘Our helpers’ for the tiny tots of nursery. The objective of the activity was to sensitise students to various professions, gain knowledge about their work and inculcate the value of respect towards them. The activity was based on a topic from their curriculum and was an extension to the concepts they learn in their classrooms. Students came dressed as policemen, army officers, doctors, firefighters among other personalities and spoke a few lines on it. They were also explained the services and tools of community helpers.

2-minute silence for tragedy victims

Teachers and students of Guru Nanak International School observed a two-minute silence during the morning assembly in the memory of four schoolchildren who died in a burning school van in Sangrur. Students were also instructed to ask their parents to get private vans, via which they commute, checked and inspected. Instructions were also given to students on how to ensure their safety during their travel in schoolbuses.

Talk on stress management

Under its staff welfare programme, DCM Presidency School, Jamalpur, organised a health talk on stress management for its faculty. The session was conducted by Dr Jagjot Singh, MD, Psychiatry, at Fortis Hospital. He explained in detail the causes and remedies to overcome stress. He also explained various ways to deal with hyperactive and sensitive students. The principal thanked the resource person for conducting the session.

Farewell party organised

Green Valley Public School, Ahmedgarh, organised a farewell party for students of Class XII. Various cultural activities were organised by students of Class XI for their seniors. The celebrations concluded with a ramp walk contest, in which Lakshay Singla and Pawanjot Kaur were selected Mr Green Valley and Ms Green Valley, respectively. TNS
