Salon worker shot dead near Phillaur

Phagwara, February 21  

A 24-year-old man was shot dead outside the salon where he worked near Phillaur on Thursday evening.

Ram Pal was shot dead in Gannapind village on the Talwan road.

Phillaur DSP Davinder Singh Attri said the deceased went outside the salon to attend a phone call. Later, he was found lying in a pool of blood. No gunshots were heard by other employees as it was raining heavily at the time, Attri added.

Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the IPC and sent the body to Phillaur Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
