A talk by Rohit Gupta, Joint Commissioner, MC, was organised at the school. The interactive session was held under the initiative programme of the MC, ‘Swatchtha ki Pathshala’. Gupta spoke on the concept of source segregation, ban on single-use plastic and home composting. He stressed upon the need to understand that segregation of waste into dry and wet is the primary responsibility of every citizen. He highlighted the fact that 500 MC employees can’t take care of the whole city’s waste management and the exercise needs to begin at the grass-root level. The students were made aware of their responsibilities towards ‘Swachh Survekshan’. The programme began with a welcome song and concluded with a garba dance performance. Executive Director of the AKSIPS Group of Smart Schools Jasdeep Kalra also addressed the audience.
