AKSIPS-45 Smart School, Chandigarh, celebrates Earth Day

The school celebrated Earth Day with a series of engaging and educational activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness among students. The event, held on the school premises, saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and staff, all committed to the cause of protecting the planet. The celebration began with a special morning assembly that included a thought-provoking speech on the importance of Earth Day, followed by a group pledge to preserve natural resources. Students from various grades showcased their creativity through eco-themed posters, slogans, a skit highlighting the effects of pollution and climate change. A special Flash Mob was organised at Bestech Mall to raise awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable living. One of the key highlights of the day was a tree plantation drive and QR tagging of the trees. Each tree in the school was assigned a unique QR code, which when scanned will provide the information about the particular tree. The school also organised a cleanliness drive in the surrounding area, reinforcing the importance of keeping the environment clean.
