The school organised its Annual Day function to celebrate and recognise the students’ achievements and their talent. The function was based on the theme ‘Vibrance: a celebration of talent’. The day was presided over by chief guest Shakti Rani Sharma, MLA, Kalka, Satpal Kaushik, DEO, Panchkula, and distinguished guest Krishan Lal Lamba, Chairman, Municipal Council, Kalka. The function commenced with the customary lighting of the lamp followed by a spectacular show unfolding a wide array of cultural extravaganza. After the formal welcome, the progressive annual report was presented by the principal. The stage propelled into magnificence when pre-primary students danced to the tune of songs with colourful props. A musical named ‘Krishan Leela’ by Class II students began with a serene supplication, involving the blessings of the Almighty. Tiny tots of UKG showed “Unity in Diversity” depicting a blend of different folk dances from all across India. This was followed by “Musical – Water is life” by students of Class I. The “Digital India” highlighted the schemes of the Government of India. ‘Rani Laxmi Bai’, a musical play, was presented by students of class V. The Pulwama attack and Surgical strike were depicted via a play ‘Naman Shaheedon Ko’ by students of Class IV. The musical play, ‘Rishi Markandeya’, aptly depicted the life of sage Markandeya who performed penance to propitiate ‘Lord Shiva’. The programme rose to a final crescendo with bhangra . The Prize distribution function was organised to honour the achievers in various categories. Students were awarded in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. The chief guests praised the show and appreciated the efforts of the students and school. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and singing of the national anthem.
