Army Public School, Jalandhar Cantonment, celebrates International Women’s Day
In a remarkable celebration of International Women’s Day, cadets of the Senior Wing and Senior Division from the school paid tribute to the invaluable role of women in today’s society. The event was conducted under the guidance of Commanding Officer, 2 Punjab Girls Battalion, NCC, Col Maninder Sachdev, and Commanding Officer, 2 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Col Vinod Joshi. The cadets actively participated in discussions highlighting the significance of women in modern society, emphasising their evolving roles, achievements, and the respect they command in the changing world. Principal Dr Saksham Singh, in her inspiring address, shed light on the status of women in contemporary times and their immense contributions across various fields. She encouraged the cadets to uphold the values of equality, empowerment, and respect for women. Adding to the spirit of the event, Vice-Principal Mandeep Talwar motivated the cadets to continue working towards such socially significant causes, fostering a culture of awareness and inclusivity. The event was a resounding success by the coordination of Capt Ashu Dhawan, who ensured the seamless execution of the programme, making it an enlightening and memorable experience for all participants.
