Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, holds capacity building workshop on ‘Joyful Mathematics’

The school hosted a two-day CBSE capacity building workshop on “Joyful Mathematics”, with the participation of around 60 educators from various schools. The workshop aimed at promoting innovative and learner-centric pedagogical practices in mathematics while integrating essential life skills, such as empathy, decision-making, effective communication, and stress management into classroom teaching. The sessions were conducted by CBSE resource persons Nivedita Gupta and Vipul Sharma. Nivedita Gupta, TGT (Mathematics) at DAV Public School, Chandigarh, brings with her over 27 years of rich teaching experience and is also a DAV Cluster Master Trainer. Vipul Sharma, Principal of New Durga Public School, Safidon, is a seasoned educationist known for his expertise and leadership in the field of education. The workshop featured a variety of interactive activities, hands-on experiences, and reflective discussions, enabling teachers to explore joyful, experiential, and stress-free approaches to teaching mathematics. The participants found the sessions highly engaging, insightful, and practically relevant. The workshop was organised under the guidance of Principal Gulshan Kaur.
