DAV Centenary Public School students excel in sports

Students of DAV Centenary Public School, Jawahar Nagar, Mandi, displayed outstanding sports talent and won a total of 19 medals and made the school proud at the national level. In the athletics competition, Surya Thakur won two gold medals, while Vishal won bronze medal. In the aerobics competition, the team of Saanvi, Angel, Khushi, Anushka, Shreya, Avni and Aarushi won the gold medal in the under-19 girls category, while in the under-17 boys’ category, the team of Divyansh, Aarav, Manit, Atharva, Digvijay, Shreyansh, Kartikeya and Vidit won silver medal. In the boxing competition, Parikshit won silver medal in the U-17 category and Aniket won bronze medal in the U-14 category. In the football U-17 boys’ category, the team of Tanish and Siddharth won bronze medal. Mannat Thakur won silver medal in the volleyball under-19 girls’ category, while Amrita won gold medal in the skipping rope U-17 girls’ category. Aarav won silver medal in the table tennis U-14 boys’ category. The school players also performed brilliantly in the taekwondo competition. In the U-14 boys’ and girls’ category, Rizwal won gold medal, Anaisa won silver medal and Sameer, Arnav Thakur and Bhavyansh won bronze medals. In the U-17 girls’ category, Danya earned bronze medal. In the U-19 boys’ and girls’ category, Vasudev won gold, Rohit Bhardwaj won silver and Manya Saini won bronze medals. Students of the school won a total of six gold, five silver and eight bronze medals in the national competition. The physical education teachers of the school contributed to the success of this tournament. Principal KS Guleria congratulated all players, sports coaches and parents.
