AKSIPS-65 Smart School, Mohali

To keep the students safe and occupied at home during the vacations, the school organised 'Magical Moments- a virtual summer camp' for the students of pre-Nursery to Class IX. The objective was to train and entertain students during the unprecedented times. A regular online schedule was shared with the students. The activities included yoga, gymnastics, music and bhangra. Associate Director Parnika Singh and the Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla applauded the interest shown by students in learning new skills. E-certificates were given to all the participants.


KBDAV Sr Sec School, Chandigarh

The school provided an opportunity to its learners to realise their responsibility toward the Blue Planet and become agents of change on World Environment Day. The Go-Green Club organised a plethora of online activities for young KBDAVians from classes VI to XII to encourage and inspire young minds so that they become crusaders of tomorrow in preserving the environment. Children took part in poster-making and debate video clipping events. Through the use of vibrant colours and creativity, the students exhibited the true love for Mother Earth. In the Debate Competition, students exhibited the skills of combining eloquent language with equally eloquent delivery on the theme "Ecosystem Restoration". The receding forests and melting glaciers remained the focal point of discussion.


Manav Rachna International School, Mohali

Coordinator Achint Kaur Sandhu has been conferred the 'Outstanding Teaching Award' at Global Education Summit and Awards (Virtual) 2021 in association with INCEED (International Centre for Excellence in Education) and SPACE (Society for Perpetuation of Art, Culture & Education) for her exceptional contribution in the field of education. She also participated in the virtual international conference on 'Flexible Learning during Educational Disruption in the Contemporary Scenario - The Way Forward'.


Yadavindra Public School, Patiala

The school initiated a Covid-19 awareness campaign in Patiala. It involved the senior students in a campaign. The students were divided into various groups and they motivated and convinced the doctors, hospitals, owners of essential stores, medical stores, grocers and bakers to help spread the message. The students were divided into different groups and particular areas were assigned to them for pasting Covid awareness-related posters. An art competition was held for the same to find innovative and impressive ways to convey the message. The posters illustrated the safety measures against Covid-19. So far, more than 400 posters have been pasted. The students are following all the safety measures while performing their duties.


St Teresa Convent School, Panchkula

The Kindergarten section conducted paper folding activity. Children participated in this creative venture with great zeal and high spirits. Tiny tots were amazed to see transformation of a flat sheet square of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting. Budding stars created unique and exclusive shapes and structures to showcase their finesse in paper craft. They made house, fan, fish, flower, boat, butterfly, bird etc. Origami provided our little ones with wonderful "schematic learning through repeatable actions". As the teachers demonstrated in the online classes, children watched and listened to the instructions and then carried them out with accuracy.


Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Chandpura

Author Chetan Bhagat addressed students and parents and apprised them of the nuances and technicalities of writing. He motivated budding writers. He described about the essence of simple and lucid language better for conveying the ideas and discussed about various elements required for weaving a good story. The guardians expressed their gratitude to the school management for providing such opportunity to their kids. Around 500 students joined the virtual address.
