GD Goenka Public School, Mohali, organised a memorable farewell ceremony for the outgoing students of Class X. The programme began with a prayer, welcome and introduction, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, setting a serene and auspicious tone. The principal’s address inspired students to carry forward the values of integrity, perseverance and excellence in all future endeavours. A melodious musical performance added grace to the opening segment. The class teacher of Grade X shared warm reflections, recalling cherished moments and applauding the students’ growth and achievements. Students of Class IX delivered touching farewell and reflection speeches, expressing gratitude, nostalgia and best wishes for their seniors. Head Boy Archit Phutela and Head Girl Vanya Bansal shared their journey and left an indelible mark on the minds of all present. Engaging games and fun activities filled the atmosphere with laughter and excitement. The symbolic ‘Legacy Walk’ marked the lasting imprint the outgoing batch leaves behind. This was followed by a brief heart game announcement and refreshments. The cultural segment featured an energetic dance performance, which captivated the audience. Special titles were conferred, with Khushi Gupta being crowned ‘Ms Fashionista’ and Aayan Pratap Singh receiving the title of ‘Mr Fashionista’, drawing loud applause from the gathering. As a token of love and remembrance, students received titles, gifts and booklets. A nostalgic video portraying the journey of Class X touched many hearts, followed by a group photograph capturing memories for a lifetime. The segment “Journey to the Memory Vault” allowed students to relive treasured moments, culminating in the meaningful ‘Ribbon of Legacy Ceremony’, symbolising continuity and responsibility.
