The school hosted the CBSE Cluster 17 Volleyball Games 2024 for North Zone in the category of under-14,17 and 19 boys/girls on its campus. More than 720 players and 57 teams from north zone are participating in the championship. JS Bedi, Chairman of the Gian Jyoti Group, inaugurated the event. Principal Ranjit Bedi extended a warm welcome to all teams and guests, assuring excellent facilities for everyone during the event. The opening day witnessed several exciting matches. Shivalik School, Mohali, triumphed over Kalgidhar School, Patiala, in the U-17 boys’ category. Madhuban Vatika School claimed victory over Keshav Public School in the U-19 girls’ competition. Gian Jyoti Global School won 2-0 against St Soldier School, Mohali, in another U-19 girls’ match. Adaesh Senior Secondary School defeated Golden Bells Public School in the U-17 girls’ competition. Kalgidhar National School clinched victory over Adarsh Senior Secondary School in the U-14 girls’ category. In the U-19 boys match, Mata Sahib Kaur Public School won against Lord Mahaveer Jain Public School. A total of 30 matches were played on three courts throughout the day.
