The school observed Martyrs’ Day to mark the 77th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was held with deep reverence, honouring the values of truth, non-violence, and patriotism that Gandhi stood for. The commemoration began with a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by a two-minute silence in memory of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Students and teachers participated in speeches, patriotic songs, and skits showcasing Gandhi’s life and contributions to India’s freedom struggle. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Director Ranjit Bedi emphasised the significance of Gandhian principles in today’s world. “Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings of peace, non-violence, and unity continue to inspire generations. It is our responsibility to follow his path and contribute towards a harmonious society,” She said. The event concluded with students taking a pledge to uphold the values of honesty, peace, and non-violence in their daily lives. The programme served as a reminder of Gandhi’s sacrifices and the relevance of his ideals in modern times.
