Gita Niketan students shine at Science Conclave 2026 in Haryana

The Science Conclave 2026 was organised by the Haryana State Council for Science and Technology, providing a platform for interaction among scientists, academicians and students to deliberate on contemporary global scientific challenges and explore innovative solutions for a sustainable future. The conclave aimed to promote scientific temperament among students and urge them to pursue research and innovation in the fields of science and technology. The programme began with an inaugural ceremony, followed by the formal welcome of the guest, Deepti Dharmani. A keynote address was delivered by Professor Arvind from IISER Mohali, who urged students on the importance of scientific research and sustainable development. A range of academic and competitive activities were organised during the event, urging student participation, creativity and scientific thinking. A total of 45 students from the school participated in various activities. From across Kurukshetra district, 175 students took part in the poster making competition, 24 teams participated in the model exhibition, 45 students competed in visual storytelling and 25 teams contested the quiz competition. It was a matter of great pride for the school as its students brought laurels by winning prizes in several events. The quiz team secured a cash prize of Rs 10,000, while the third prize carried a cash award of Rs 1,100 and the consolation prize carried a cash award of Rs 500.
