Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, hosts inter-school event

The school hosted the Vidya Parvati Memorial Inter-School Competition, a prestigious two-day event held in memory of Late Vidya Devi and Late Parvati Setya. Based on the theme ‘Maa’, the event paid homage to the love, resilience, and guidance that mothers represent. More than 20 distinguished schools from across the Tricity participated, making the celebration both vibrant and meaningful. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr VD Singh. Day 1 featured creatively curated competitions, such as Punjabi self-composed poem recitation, jewellery crafting, fabric painting, and the emotional ‘Womb to World-Mother & Child’ duet. Events like ‘Step It Up for Your Mom - Dance Battle’, ‘Maathsbola’, and the patriotic group song competition added spirit and enthusiasm. Day 2 welcomed renowned radio personality RJ Meenakshi as the chief guest. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognising talent, creativity, and participation. Principal Urvashi Kakkar congratulated all winners and thanked the participating schools for making the event a success.
