JD International School, Safidon, Assandh Road, organised a prize distribution ceremony on its campus. The chief guest was Kuldeep Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Jind, while Gaurav Sharma, DSP Safidon, attended as guest of honour. The school chairman, SK Bhardwaj, director Vijay Bhardwaj and principal SK Chaudhary were also present. Students securing first, second, third and fourth positions in the CBSE Board examinations were awarded laptops, tablets, smartwatches and cash prizes. In addition, students from Classes IV to IX who secured first, second and third positions were honoured with trophies. The event also marked the launch of the ‘JD Darpan Newsletter’, alongside a positive parenting seminar and a science exhibition. Dr Jagminder from Delhi and principal Dr SK Chaudhary addressed parents on key aspects of child development, highlighting social and intellectual growth, goal setting, time management and the value of consistent hard work. In his address, chief guest Kuldeep Singh emphasised the importance of values alongside education and urged students to strive continuously for excellence. The chairman, SK Bhardwaj, thanked parents, noting collaboration between parents and teachers is vital in shaping a bright future for children. The director, Vijay Bhardwaj, underlined the relevance of positive parenting in modern times. The principal, SK Chaudhary briefed parents on the school’s academic policies, discipline system and plans for holistic development. DSP Gaurav Sharma spoke about the “Nasha Mukt Haryana” campaign, stressing that with the cooperation of social and educational institutions, Panchayati Raj bodies and local authorities, drug abuse can be curbed. He encouraged students and parents to stay away from drugs and spread awareness among the youth, adding that eradicating addiction is essential for building a strong nation.
