KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh, recently organised a wellness session for its 100-member staff, led by Dr Kriti Anand, a consultant psychiatrist from Paras Hospital, in collaboration with Simply Health Plus. The session focused on scientifically-backed strategies for daily well-being, including mindfulness-based relaxation techniques, progressive muscle calming and cognitive reframing approaches. The staff were introduced to various techniques to manage stress and rejuvenate mental clarity, such as mindfulness-based relaxation and breath-anchoring exercises. The importance of self-awareness, emotional regulation and prioritising personal wellness was emphasised to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The session highlighted the crucial role teacher well-being plays in sustaining a vibrant and productive school ecosystem. The school also organised a bone-density camp for teaching, non-teaching and Class IV employees, showcasing its commitment to staff health and wellness.
