‘Let us resume classroom teaching’

‘Let us resume classroom teaching’ is the message for senior students of various schools, circulating on the social media in this region.

Though incharges of various classes from classes XI to XII have been contacting their students and their parents by making telephone calls, heads and office bearers of management committees preferred making open appeal on social media.

Students have also been asked to bring written consent from their parents undertaking they were willing their wards on their risk in view of ensuing threat of transmission of corona virus due to any negligence on part of the students.

“As you know the dreaded corona pandemic has kept us away from each other for around seven months. Now when long wait has ended the schools are opening on October 19 and we are eagerly waiting for you to come to school,” reads the message addressed to all students on social media which concludes with precautions to be taken by students and their parents.

Students have been cautioned againstthe habit of shaking hands, frequently sharing articles and not wearing mask when they come to their schools on Monday. Though the authorities claimed to have made necessary arrangements for maintaining social distancing and sanitisation of hands during stay at school, students have been advised to keep hand sanitiser with them too at all times.

Amandeep Singh and Baljit Singh Taggar, principals at Nathumajra and Ballowal Chaminda Government Schools said special messages had been uploaded on officials IDs of their respective schools so that maximum number of students can be persuaded to start coming to school and follow advisory on prevention of spread of corona virus.

Viney Goyal, Principal MGMN Senior Secondary School appreciated that parents of a large number of students had visited school office and submitted consent letters undertaking that they were ready send their wards to school willing. “Though we have made adequate arrangements to enable students and teachers follow advisory on the prevention of spread of corona virus we have also sought help of parents through social media,” said Goyal.
