To empower educators with modern pedagogical tools and prepare students for a rapidly evolving global landscape, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, organised a CBSE capacity building workshop on 21st century skills. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with Full Marks and witnessed participation from the teaching faculty, academic coordinators and wing in-charges. The session was led by resource person Varun Sharma, who shared valuable insights into seamlessly integrating core global competencies into daily lesson plans. The workshop focused extensively on the '4Cs' framework-critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. Sharma emphasised that the role of a modern teacher must evolve from that of a traditional instructor to an active facilitator, enabling students to analyse information independently and think innovatively. Principal Dr Parveena John Singh said in today's rapidly changing educational environment, teachers must continuously upgrade their teaching methodologies to nurture confident, creative and responsible learners. She highlighted the importance of equipping students with essential 21st-century skills to help them thrive in an increasingly interconnected and dynamic world. The workshop proved to be highly informative and enriching, inspiring educators to adopt innovative teaching practices and create more engaging, student-centred learning experiences.
