National Youth Day observed

St Vivekanand Millennium School, Pinjore, observed National Youth Day and the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in a dignified and inspiring atmosphere. The programme was organised with the objective of instilling self-confidence, discipline and a spirit of national service among students. The celebration commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the garlanding of Swami Vivekananda’s bust and the chanting of the ‘dhyan mantra’, paying reverent tribute to the great philosopher and youth icon. This was followed by the collective ‘Ramakrishna dhun’, which filled the campus with peace and positive energy. Through stage anchoring, the significance of National Youth Day was thoughtfully highlighted, focusing on the life, ideals and timeless messages of Swami Vivekananda for today’s youth. A poem presented during the programme beautifully captured a brief yet impactful life sketch of the revered leader. The programme also featured melodious ‘bhajans’ that created a serene and devotional ambience. A presentation depicting the significant life events and extensive travels of Swami Vivekananda further acquainted the audience with his powerful personality, inspiring ideology and remarkable contribution to society. The celebration left a lasting impression on everyone present. Through this meaningful observance, the school reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing moral values, inner strength and a positive outlook among students, in harmony with the timeless vision of Swami Vivekananda. The programme concluded with the distribution of ‘prasad’, marking a graceful and spiritually uplifting end to the celebration.
