Road safety awareness programme organised

OSDAV Public School, Kaithal, organised a road safety awareness programme for students of Class IX to educate students about safe practices on the road. The programme was conducted by Ashok Leyland Driver Training Institute. The event was graced by Haryana Police DSP Sushil Parkash and Puneet Dhiman, Manager, Ashok Leyland Driver Training Institute. DSP Sushil Parkash addressed the students and highlighted the alarming rise in road accidents caused by speeding, negligence and lack of awareness. He appealed to students to strictly follow traffic rules and to act as ambassadors of road safety within their families and society. This was followed by an informative session conducted by Puneet Dhiman. He explained the correct use of seat belts, helmets, pedestrian safety rules, safe driving signals and the importance of being alert on the road. The programme included an impactful audio-visual presentation demonstrating real-life situations and preventive measures to avoid accidents. Students actively participated by asking questions and expressing their views on road safety. Principal Anju Talwar appreciated the efforts of the Haryana Police and the Ashok Leyland team for organising such a meaningful session.
