International Women's Day was celebrated on the campus. Throwing light on the contribution of women in the society, NRI Sudarshan Garg, who came from Chicago, America, said women were leading in every field today. They were playing an important role in keeping the country safe by being guards on the borders. Their advice is definitely taken in every work. Without them, the work is considered incomplete. Famous litterateur Dr Vinod Sharma said it was impossible to imagine this world without women. Along with being a skilled housewife, they were contributing to the economy like men. In the Vedic period, every work was done with the help of women. They used to study the Vedas and also perform Yagya with men. Vice-Principal Dr Anju Modgil said women have got equal status in the educated society. Women are capable of doing every work. Her contribution in the field of education is commendable. Sudarshan Thapar, who came from Patiala, said women's place is respectable. Students of higher classes were present during the programme. Teachers participated in a cake-cutting ceremony at end of the programme.
