The school hosted its Annual Poetry Recitation Competition, celebrating the works of the renowned poet, WH Auden. A literary giant, Auden’s contributions to poetry, drama and literary criticism were highlighted through student performances from across the Tricity. The competition benefited from the expert judgment of Dr Sonika Sethi, Associate Professor of English at SD College Ambala Cantt, and distinguished author, alongside Dr Apara Sharma, esteemed educator and passionate advocate for poetry. In Category A, Aanya Sehgal from Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh, secured the first position. Toshani from Saupin’s 32 bagged the second position, while Hashit Dhiman from St Mary’s School claimed the third position. In Category B, there was a tie between Bismeet Kaur of Shemrock School and Poshita Ira Java of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, for the first position. Aadita Kapila from Carmel Convent School emerged as the winner of the second position. The third position was shared by Anantika Sharma of Saupin’s 32, Urvi of Sacred Heart, Chandigarh, and Ekam Kaur Sekhon of Guru Nanak Public School, Chandigarh. Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh, was honoured with the Running Trophy for Best Overall Performance.
