Shemford School, Barara

An inter-house quiz competition, based on science and social science, was organised in the school. The competition was among students of classes IX to XII. The competition was conducted by the subject teachers. Students participated enthusiastically in the competition. To select the participants, first a written test was conducted, after which they were divided into four teams, named “Team A Red House Master of Questions”, “Team B Blue House Brainy Bunch”, ‘’Team C Green House Fact Finders” and “Team D Gold House Champion of Curiosity’”. There were three rounds in the outline of the competition, in which the first round was a quiz based on general knowledge of science and social science, the second round was visual illustration based on science and audio quiz related to political science. The third round was named Rapid Fire, in which each team had to answer the questions in one minute as per the time. Shem Red House (Anshika, Daman, Ishika, Harmandeep, Nidhi and Pranshul) secured the first prize, Shem Blue House (Anmolpreet Kaur, Digvijay, Navneet Singh, Pratibha, Gurleen Kaur and Anshika Singh) secured the second prize, and Shem Gold House (Khushi, Jitesh, Akshit, Neeraj, Prabhgun and Himesh) secured the third prize. In the end, Principal Ruby Sharma motivated more and more children to participate in the competition and provided some important information to increase their general knowledge.
