Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Mohali

The school observed junior-level annual sports day during the founder’s week celebrations. Chamkaur Singh was the chief guest for the first day of sports meet. Colourful balloons were released in the air to declare the meet open. The first day witnessed the heats of the races and other athletic events, included long jump and shot put. The second day started with the cultural bonanza with ‘Ganesh Vandana’, Zumba and bhangra as the highlights of the day. It was followed by the finals of the athletic events — 100 m 200 m 400 m 800 m and 1,500 m races for boys and girls in the under-14, 17 and 19 categories. The events promoted healthy competition and sportsmanship among the students as it was an inter house event. The winners were awarded by Principal Prineet Sohal. The excitement of the day was fun games arranged for mothers and fathers of the students and the winners were awarded.
