The kindergarten wing of the school celebrated World Health Day with an engaging ‘Healthy Tiffin’ initiative to promote nutritional awareness among its youngest learners. Students arrived with tiffin packed with wholesome meals and a colourful variety of seasonal fruits. The initiative encouraged children to explore diverse, nutrient-rich foods beyond their usual routines. The core of the event was a food sorting activity, where students categorised various items into two groups —Healthy Choices: Fruits, vegetables, and sprouts that provide energy for growth, and Junk Food: Processed snacks and sugary drinks, which were identified as items to be avoided due to their negative impact on health. Through these hands-on demonstrations, teachers explained the “why” behind avoiding junk food — focusing on sluggishness and lack of vitamins. The celebration instilled a sense of food responsibility in the students, concluding with a collective pledge to choose fresh, natural snacks over processed alternatives.
