The school organised a Swachhata Pakhwada, a two-week cleanliness initiative, launched by the Union Government. The initiative commenced with students taking the Swachhta Pledge. Students of classes I to V engaged in a variety of activities, including cleaning corridors and the campus, dusting windows, participating in discussions on personal hygiene, learning about the segregation of dry and wet waste, and expressing their creativity through drawings on the theme “Clean India, Green India.” A highlight for these students was a session on toilet etiquette, where they learnt the importance of utilising school restrooms responsibly and hygienically. Students were educated on waste management, specifically the proper disposal of biodegradable materials. Middle school students participated in poster making and slogan writing. Students were educated on the significance of personal hygiene and its implications for health. Students performed a nukkad natak to motivate their peers to take proactive steps toward cleanliness. The entire school community united to take a pledge, committing to uphold cleanliness and hygiene in their everyday lives. Students in classes IX to XI engaged in decluttering activities focused on broken and unused furniture. Under the guidance of teachers, they sorted through damaged items in classrooms and hallways, setting aside those for repair. A committee discussion on sanitation and hygiene was convened in Block A, addressing critical issues such as restroom conditions. The week culminated in the distribution of saplings to parents, encouraging them to plant trees in their homes and neighbourhoods.
