‘ATL Tinkerfest’ was celebrated at Atal Tinkering Lab of the school to engage and inspire students with science, engineering and technology. It was organised so that every child could experience the skills and techniques intrinsic to innovation. The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm and focus on imbibing “Do it yourself” activity and teamwork. The programme started with the ATL in charge welcoming the students, followed by a talk to encourage students to tinker and learn something new. Students were introduced to ATL and the aim of the Atal Innovation Mission programme. Thereafter, the concepts of design thinking, basics of electronics, 3D printing, robotics via Lego kits and Arduino microcontroller were explained in detail through presentations. Students were amazed to experience these advanced technologies for the very first time. All the students together tried their hands on soldering and programming. The students learnt the art of circuit building using various electronic components. They were instructed about the safety measures too. Overall, it was an engaging and fruitful experience for the students. School Principal Dr Anupkiran Kaur appreciated the efforts of the team.
