The CBSE has launched the new curriculum for Class IX. It brings about major shift from theory heavy learning to competency and skill-based learning and assessment. To apprise the parents of the new curriculum, Sri Aurobindo Public School, Sai Road, Baddi, organised an orientation meeting, led by Principal Anila Nair to explain the structure of subjects, including languages, core subjects, and vocational courses. The principal highlighted competency-based learning, focusing on understanding and practical skills. New areas like computational thinking and vocational modules were introduced. Parents were guided on selecting subjects and maintaining a balanced timetable for their children. They were advised to consider their child’s interests and strengths. The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session, where parents shared their doubts enthusiastically and received clear responses.
